Çudamani once again accepts applications from individuals from around the world to participate in a rigorous course of study of Balinese music and dance in Pengosekan, Ubud, Bali. For fourteen years, Çudamani has taught hundreds of Balinese children, youth and adults and has provided exceptional instruction to international students. The company's accomplishments in both traditional and innovative work has earned Çudamani an international reputation in its tours to the United States, Japan, Canada, Greece and Italy.
The Çudamani Summer Institute features: intensive study with 6 master artists and 10 - 12 assistants who use a pedagogy developed by master artists Ibu Ni Ketut Arini, Bapak I Nyoman Cerita and Çudamani ; lectures and demonstrations by internationally renowned scholars and artists ; observations of rehearsals and performances, visits to sacred sites and ceremonies.
The final week offers a series of elective courses that change each year. This year's electives include: gambuh, performance make-up/costume, meditation.
Suitable for experienced dancers and musicians.
